If you choose to sign up with a 3rd Party (e.g. Google Login) we will capture your name, email address and profile picture from that service.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

Your birth details and all generated insights are encrypted before storage. Neither Supabase nor any third-party system has access to your birth data or chart interpretations in plain text.

We do not share your birth details or any identifiable astrological information with OpenAI or any other AI provider. For AI features, we only send anonymized chart data (planet positions, divisional placements, etc.) that cannot be linked back to you.

To operate Vedic Astro Bot, we use the following essential service providers:

Supabase (Authentication & Database Hosting) — Supabase stores your account email and encrypted application data. Supabase never receives your birth details, chart insights, or any sensitive information in decrypted form.
Dodo Payments (Payment Processing) — Handles all payment information securely. We do not store or access your card details at any point. Payment details are processed exclusively by Dodo Payments.

These providers act strictly as processors on our behalf. They cannot decrypt your birth data, cannot use your information for their own purposes, and cannot share it with anyone else.

AI Usage & Data Safety

When using AI-powered features, your birth details (date, time, place) and personal identifiers are never sent to OpenAI or any external AI provider. Only anonymized chart data, such as planetary longitudes, divisional chart placements, or derived points, is transmitted for generating interpretations.

This ensures that your identity is never associated with the astrological data processed by AI systems.

Encryption & Key Management

All birth details, chart calculations, and generated insights are encrypted before they are written to our databases. Each account is protected with a user-specific key that is stored outside the database layer, so a database breach does not expose readable information. Only our backend services can momentarily decrypt your data to fulfill a request; no team member can view it in plain text. This “privacy by design” architecture keeps your chart history secure and under your control.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 18. Our services are intended for adult users.

Updates to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as needed to reflect changes in our services or to comply with legal requirements. Users will be informed of significant updates via email.
